March 30-31, 2007
C.G. Jung Institute of Los Angeles

Time: Fri. Mar. 30, 7:30-10:00pm
Description: "War and the Soul" lecture and book signing
We measure war's impact by the number of dead and wounded and its financial costs. But what does war do to the human soul? This lecture will address the universal dimensions of veterans’ wounding as revealed through history, mythology, archetypal psychology, and cross-cultural perspectives. We will also examine Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder as an identity disorder and soul wound and discuss how veterans and our nation begin to heal from war.
Ticket Info: $25 Pre-registered, $30 At door

Time: Sat. Mar. 31, 10:30am-4pm (Lunch provided)
Description: Asklepian Healing: Exploring the Great Mysteries
In this workshop we will consider many traumatic occurrences that wound the souls of adults. This workshop will also provide opportunities to experience healing strategies. Asklepian healing is the original holistic medical tradition of the West. Under the guidance of Asklepios, the ancient Greek god of healing, this tradition teaches us how to accept our trials and our sufferings as the workings of the universe in our lives. Through the ‘Great Mysteries,’ we can find the guidance that enables us to transmute adult traumas as varied as the survival of war, cancer, heart attack, abuse, rape, or divorce.
Ticket Info: $60 Pre-registered, $75 At door
