Volunteers Sought for Stanford PTSD Emotion Regulation Study

Stanford University Anxiety Brain Imaging Study

Do you qualify?We are seeking people who are currently experiencing anxiety and have been exposed to a traumatic event in the past to participate in a research study about how people process faces and emotional pictures.
- Have you ever experienced, witnessed or had to deal with an extremely traumatic event?
- During the past month, have you re-experienced that event in a distressing way, such as dreams, intense recollections or physical reactions?
- Have you been diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)?
The study is at Stanford University Medical Center and compensates up to $50 for participation.
Continuing:
To be eligible:The study is scheduled in one session. Volunteers are interviewed and given several questionnaires, followed by a MRI scan of the brain (lasting up to 2 hrs).
- Men and Women ages 18-85 years old
- No current or history of neurological disorders
- No seizure disorder or history of head trauma
